 How to Identify and Report Phishing Emails

Overview:
Phishing emails remain a top threat vector at Diebold Nixdorf. This guide helps employees recognize and properly report suspicious messages received through corporate email accounts.

Common Red Flags:

  • Messages urging urgent financial actions.
  • Unexpected invoices, requests for gift cards, or credential verifications.
  • External senders spoofing Diebold Nixdorf domains.

Steps to Report:

  1. Do not click on any links or open attachments.
  2. Select the message in Outlook.
  3. Click the “Report Phishing” button in the toolbar.
  4. Email will be automatically sent to InfoSec.

Additional Notes:

  • If unsure, forward the email to cybersecurity@dieboldnixdorf.com for review.
  • Verified phishing reports may qualify for internal cybersecurity awareness rewards.
